Meet Sean Sahai: APAC Sales Director

Say ‘Hi’ to Sean, our new APAC Sales Director and the first full-time APAC team member on the ground for Buynomics. Based in Singapore, Sean brings years of SaaS sales experience from across Asia and is joining both Buynomics and The Scale Factory to help drive growth in the region.
“What stood out to me was the mix of cutting-edge tech, a clear vision, and a really sharp team,” he says. “Buynomics is tackling a real challenge in Revenue Growth Management, something FMCG companies are actively trying to solve, and doing it in a smart, data-driven way.”
For Sean, this role was about joining companies that are pushing things forward. “With both Buynomics and The Scale Factory, I get to work with teams that are doing meaningful, innovative work, whether it’s helping scale-ups grow across APAC or changing how brands think about pricing and growth.”
Outside of work, Sean trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), plays the drums, and tries to catch live gigs when he can. “BJJ has taught me patience and how to stay calm under pressure, which definitely helps in sales. And drumming? It’s all about rhythm and timing, useful for knowing how to read a room or when to speak up and when to hold back.”
Having worked across different markets in Asia, his approach is shaped by the diversity of the region. “Relationships come first here. You need to build trust before anything else. Every market is different, so being flexible and aware of those nuances really matters. And when working with senior stakeholders, it’s important to lead with insight, not just product features.”
