Pickatale partners with The Scale Factory to drive APAC expansion of their next gen reading platform




Founded in 2013, Pickatale is on a mission to change the world of reading. With global challenges related to reading, Pickatale is reimagining how kids read and learn. With high-quality content, a superior reading experience and big data and analytics, Pickatale inspires kids to discover the joy of reading and become better readers, while giving teachers and parents tools to support them along the journey.


With their next gen reading platform, Pickatale has 1,000+ original titles, with interactive books, gamification as well as dashboards for teachers to follow the progress and participate in the learning journey, ensuring a fun and productive reading experience for kids of all ages.


Operating in Scandinavia and the UK, Pickatale is now eying an expansion in APAC, home of 60% of the world’s population and 42 percent (43 million) of the world’s illiterate youth. “Having spent the last years refining the product and setting the organisation up for scale, we are now ready to enter the APAC region and support teachers, parents, and most importantly the kids to become better readers”, says Sigbjørn Dugal, Founder of Pickatale.
