Meet Suds Roy: Advisor to TSF


We’re excited to introduce Sudipto (Suds) as an advisor at The Scale Factory. With a career that spans decades, Suds has managed marketing budgets ranging from $1 to $4 billion for some of the world’s biggest brands. His extensive experience across AdTech, MarTech, audience data, analytics, and more has given him a unique perspective on scale-up growth and what it takes to drive success.


Suds’ approach to growth is rooted in solving the right problems. "The advice I always return to is: solve the right problem, not the one you think you have," he says. Over the years, he’s worked across both agency and product commercialization roles, and his core philosophy has always been about creating traction quickly and delivering immediate impact, principles that guide his work with scale-ups today.


When advising companies on entering new markets, Suds emphasizes the importance of focusing on distinctive early traction. "Not every customer or use-case is created equal," he advises. He believes in solving the problems you can address most effectively and using that to create real value, not just transactions. He also stresses the need for market localization, tailoring your messaging and approach to fit each region’s unique dynamics.
